« BackSecondary Student Populations:
Completer: A student who completes a planned, sequential program of studies that integrates academic, technical, and workplace competencies in a state-approved secondary career and technology education program. This program usually includes a minimum of four (4) Carnegie units of occupational courses plus academic courses. (Section II, page 26, Maryland State Plan)Concentrator: Maryland does not identify vocational concentrators. Maryland’s focus is on career and technology education completers.
Tech Prep: A student who completes a planned, sequential program of studies that integrates academic, technical, and workplace competencies in a state-approved secondary career and technology education program that is designed as a tech prep program based on established criteria.
