Virtual Financial and Management Institute

We are looking forward to the Virtual Financial and Management Institute (VFMI) on June 3, 2016. This VFMI is hosted by the Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE), Division of Academic and Technical Education (DATE), and is designed for state staff responsible for the financial mamagement of secondary and postsecondary grants under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins IV). It will focus on statutory and regulatory requirements and OCTAE processes pertaining to financial management. The VFMI will follow similar format to the Virtual Data Quality Institutes that DATE has conducted in recent years. View Fact Sheet (Word, 20 KB)

Webinar on the Submission of Unified or Combined State Plans Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The purpose of this webinar is to provide an update on Federal agency activities around State Plans and help prepare states for activities in the upcoming months to ensure that they are informed and ready to make the transition to a WIOA Unified or Combined State Plan. Presenters from the U.S. Departments of Labor and Education will review the statutory requirements for Unified and Combined State Plans, and describe what states can do now to comply with the provisions of WIOA. Participants will hear updates on the State Plan Information Collection Request (ICR) as well as the projected timeline for it and other related Federal products. Presenters will also discuss the features of the State Plan online submission portal that is currently under development. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.
