Tribally Controlled Postsecondary Career and Technical Institutions Program (TCPCTIP)

The Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) competitively awarded two new five-year TCPCTIP grants following the reauthorization of the Perkins IV legislation in August 2007. However, based on the Final Waivers and Extension of Project Periods, published in the Federal Register on May 23, 2012, the Secretary extended the project periods for the TCPCTIP grantees through FY 2013, or longer, if Congress continues to appropriate funds under the existing program authority. The TCPCTIP grantees are currently awarded their year 7 project grants, funded with the FY 2013 appropriation of approximately $7.7 million. In 2014, OCTAE will review Annual Performance Reports from the two TCPCTIP grantees and expects to award their year 8 non-competitive continuation grants, funded with the FY 2014 appropriation of approximately $7.7 million.
