A career pathways system is about the coordination of people and resources both within and across education, workforce, and human services systems. Within education, this includes aligning the K-12 and postsecondary education systems and, in particular, the career and technical education programs and services provided within and across program providers. The Advancing Career Pathways project is a technical assistance initiative for implementing career pathways systems. Its purpose is to further integrate career and technical education (CTE) into the broader landscape of career pathways systems at the state and local level. Technical assistance is being provided to states through a year-long CTE Leaders Academy and through multi-tiered TA services including coaching, regional meetings, peer networking, and webinars.
Regional meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations and are open to all states:

Resources being developed include a CTE State Leaders' Playbook with solutions for replicating and scaling successful career pathways, and case studies on innovations that support career pathways system development. Resources will be available in October 2017.
