On August 26, 2025, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. ET, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) will conduct Tribal Consultation on Fiscal Year 2026 grantmaking priorities for the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) and Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE).
This webinar, hosted by the Dual Enrollment for Adult Learners (DEAL) project, will share information about an upcoming technical assistance opportunity to support the development of Ability to Benefit (ATB) alternate state processes and increase the overall usage of ATB to support the dual enrollment of adult learners in postsecondary education.
State Plan Portal FY25 Training - Session #2
The Division of Academic and Technical Education (DATE) will host a training session for the State Plan Perkins Web Portal on Wednesday, April 2 at 11:00 AM ET. This training session is designed to support the States in the submission of State Plan and Budgets for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025.
This is a repeat of the session held on April 1, 2025.

The Department has now posted a notice in the Federal Register seeking public comments on our response to comments received during the 60-day period on the information collection request (ICR) for the Perkins Consolidated Annual Report (OMB Control Number 1830-0569). This current notice provides the public with another 30-day period to provide comments.
The Department recently published notices in the Federal Register inviting public comments on proposed revisions to the Department’s two principal information collections for the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins V): (1) the Perkins V State Plan Guide (OMB #1830-0029), which collects State plans, plan revisions, and State-determined performance levels for the core indicators of performance; and (2) the Perkins V Consolidated Annual Report (CAR) (OMB #1830-0569), which collects data on student participation in CTE, the use of Perkins V funds, and the progress of States in achieving State-determined levels of performance.
